Aims: The main aim of Arabs Inc is to develop and promote interest in and knowledge of the keeping, caring, breeding and exhibition of the Arabian Horse.
Meetings
: Monthly Committee meetings; general meetings about three times a year. AGM held in February.
Functions: One 'A' Class Show (The National Capital Horse Show) for all breeds; gymkhanas three time a year (Autumn, Winter & Spring); also training days.
Membership Fees: Family $50.00, Adult Member $30.00, Junior $10.00.

Aims: The aim of the Palomino Association is to promote the Palomino horse.
Meetings: Monthly Committee meetings at various locations. AGM in February.

Membership Fees: New Members $35, Renewals $30, due on 1 January.

Aims: To promote the breeding and showing of the Australian Stock Horse.
Meetings: Committee meetings held every second month.
Functions: Training schools; annual show held in second week of January.

Background: The inaugural meeting of the ASSP Society was held in Perth in February 1970. Branches of the Society are now established in South Australia, Western Australia and Victoria, with sub-branches in the Northern Territory, ACT and NSW. The important qualities for an ASSP are a quiet temperament for riding and learning, affection and loyalty, hardy and healthy, versatile and a maximum height of 14.2hh. Classes include A, B, C and Foundation D, plus E Group (geldings only). Upgrading occurs by crossing with pure Arab stock or with other ASSPS registered stock.
Meetings: Monthly Committee meetings. AGM in April.
Functions: Regular classifications are held which include an inspection of the pony plus a lead workout. Classes for ASSPS registered stock are now in many local gymkhanas and agricultural shows. The Society's main shows are held in February and October each year, and the annual Branch Show (Victoria) is held in Bendigo in early February.

Aims: To promote the Australian Quarter Horse as a breed and Western style riding and showing. General Information: The Western style of showing promoted by the Quarterhorse Association includes halter conformation, showmanship, hunter under saddle, Western pleasure, reining, trail, equitation and horsemanship classes. Categories include horse age classes, owner age classes Junior and senior), amateur owners, open, beginners, and novice classes. Performance classes are open to all breeds. Shows are located in Canberra and surrounding districts.
Meetings: Monthly meetings, Bob Collis Rooms, Sutton (NSW). AGM in August.
Functions: About 6 shows per year and 4 clinics.
Membership Fees: $35 per family, $25 adult, $6.50 youth. Subs due in August.
