A monthly glossy magazine advertising quality competition and breed
horses. Available at newsagents and saddleries. .,

Other things to do:
 | Check any nearby saddleries and produce merchants. They usually have a
noticeboard and will accept private 'For Sale' advertisements. |
 | If the horse is for a child or teenager, join your local Pony Club and
place a 'Wanted' advertisement in the Club newsletter. Parents are often
reluctant to sell the family pony through the open market but may be happy to
sell to someone who will also use the horse at pony club. |
 | Join any relevant breed or show associations. Their subscription rates are
usually quite low and 'For Sale' advertisements are often carried in their
newsletters, or put your own 'Wanted' advertisement in (usually for a small
fee). |
 | Check at the larger private stables and agistment establishments (go there
rather than ring). They will often have a notice board with 'For Sale' and
'Wanted' advertisements. Ask instructors at these stables; they often know of
horses for sale. |
 | Ask everyone you know. Often the best horses are sold by word of mouth
without ever having been commercially advertised. |
