Some people agist their horses with friends who own small properties around the ACT. Most of the time such arrangements work out amicably with neither the horse nor the friendship suffering. But there is plenty of potential for things to go wrong with such arrangements, especially if the horse is injured or if it loses condition and, although it may seem excessive, many a lost friendship might have been saved by having a contract drawn up in the beginning to establish responsibilities. |
